A collaboration with Social Chain to create a commemorative graphic celebrating James Maddison’s 250th career appearance, visually narrating his journey through multiple clubs. Additionally, I developed countdown and event graphics for Lewis Hamilton’s TeamX44 debut in Extreme E, aligning with the team’s commitment to sustainability and equality in motorsport.

Working with Social Chain, a leading sports media agency, I was tasked with two projects. The first was to create a celebratory visual for James Maddison’s 250th career appearance, ensuring a cohesive representation of his career from Coventry, Norwich, Aberdeen, to Leicester City. The second brief was for TeamX44, an electric off-road racing team formed by Lewis Hamilton, focusing on sustainability and equality.

Design Work

For the James Maddison piece, the focus was on Leicester City’s blue, aligning with his current club branding while incorporating elements from his previous teams. A chronological timeline approach was used to illustrate his journey, while ensuring the design retained a premium, modern aesthetic suitable for his association with Puma.


For TeamX44, the designs had to reflect the environmentally conscious theme of Extreme E, maintaining a futuristic and progressive feel. The countdown graphics and overlay designs for race results were carefully curated to match the team’s sustainable values, using clean, modern typography and dynamic layouts.

Outcome

The James Maddison tribute was praised for its elegance and storytelling, successfully merging his career progression with Leicester’s brand identity. The final design maintained high visual impact, suitable for sports media promotions.


The TeamX44 event graphics enhanced the brand’s visual identity, reinforcing the sustainability message of Extreme E. The clean, futuristic layouts aligned with the eco-friendly and inclusive nature of the team, playing a key role in event coverage and audience engagement.

Final Deliverables

The project provided Social Chain with highly engaging digital assets for both football and motorsport, reinforcing athlete branding and environmental awareness in two distinct sporting industries.
